Kando Martial Arts Knox
Kando Martial Arts was founded in 1997 by Chief Instructor Shihan Paul Veldman, a highly respected martial arts teacher with decades of experience.
Shihan Paul holds a 6th Degree Black Belt in Karate and began training at age 13 in San Chi Kai Freestyle Karate. He later specialised in traditional Shukokai Karate at Sendai Karate under Sensei Kurt Klimkait, earning his Black Belt in 1995.
Sensei Andy began his karate journey with Kando at age 12 after experiencing bullying. Over 15 years of training, karate helped him build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills.
With over 10 years of teaching experience, Sensei Andy played a key role in growing Kando Rowville into the second-largest Kando club. He is now established his own Kando MartialArts club in Knox, continuing Kando’s tradition of quality karate instruction for the Wantirna area.
