I'm not very sporty or coordinated. Will that be a problem?
Not at all! Our Women's Self-Defence program is designed for women of all fitness levels and abilities. You don't need any prior experience or exceptional coordination to start. Our instructors work with each student at their own pace, focusing on practical techniques that work regardless of your athletic background. Many women who join us have never done martial arts before and find that the supportive, women-only environment makes learning comfortable and empowering.
Will I actually be able to defend myself against someone bigger and stronger?
Yes! Our program specifically teaches techniques designed to work against larger, stronger attackers. We focus on practical self-defence methods that use leverage, body mechanics, and strategic targeting rather than brute strength. You'll learn how to use an attacker's size and momentum against them, target vulnerable areas, and create opportunities to escape safely. These are real-world techniques that have been proven effective, regardless of size differences.
I hate doing gym workouts, I find them boring. Will this be similar?
Our self-defence classes are completely different from traditional gym workouts! Instead of repetitive exercises, you'll learn practical skills that could save your life. Every class is dynamic, engaging, and focused on real-world scenarios. You'll be so focused on learning techniques and building confidence that you won't even realize you're getting an incredible workout.
